The ripple effect that keeps spreading outward from the launch of The Hangover is an interesting one, to say the least: two years after its release, a slew of R-rated comedies hoping to emulate its success hit the market, including its own sequel. That reverberation looks like it might continue in 2013, with the studios behind both Bridesmaids and Horrible Bosses aiming to take advantage of the success of those films with further installments in their "series," or whatever you wish to call them.
The interesting thing in regards to Bridesmaids is that Universal is claiming that they might move forward with it even if Kristen Wiig and her writing partner Annie Mumolo aren't on board, with both claiming that they'd like to work on other projects. THR has sources that say the principal cast members received bonus checks for 100 grand after the film's success, which seems like it might be underwhelming considering the film easily made Universal $100 million or more in pure profit. Reportedly Universal would pin their hopes on Melissa McCarthy as the lead if Bridesmaids 2 were to come along, which...ok. Anyway, this is all talk at this point, but bet on Universal to announce the film sooner or later.
Things seem a bit more stable for Horrible Bosses 2, with The Hollywood Reporter claiming that the screenwriters for the original film have been signed to a deal, and Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day, and Jason Bateman would all be expected to come back for more boss-killing antics. I don't know how you'd get the same three people into three new, horribly shitty jobs, but hey: it's a comedy. Things sometimes just happen.
I suppose that bringing back the three working stiffs will allow them to maintain some continuity while bringing in a few new assholes to kill. Who would you choose as the trio of new bosses in a putative Horrible Bosses II? Given their willingness to do more comedy lately, I think it might be fun if Robert De Niro and Al Pacino were both in a movie that was actually good, for once. And since you have to have a hot lady in the other boss role, I'd go with Ms. Emma Stone as a horrendous young woman who inherits her family business but then becomes super charming when she realizes how horrible she's been and helps everyone be nice to each other and then I meet her and we get married. The end.

Emma Stone would be the best boss
That's my ideal plot for every movie ever. Only with me, not you... that would be weird.
Moving on...
A Horrible Bosses 2 could be good if all of the main pieces are returning. Though thrusting them into a similar situation again is a little far-fetched and could get predictably samey. But if it's funny enough I guess I wouldn't care too much.
A Bridesmaids 2 is a lot less appealing without Wiig, especially since I can just imagine them hammering it out with another member of the group getting married and then the same 'hilarious' bridesmaid-y situations occur. And then it will still make a gazillion dollars anyway and no one will care.
Rorie's Emma Stone themed endings always make me laugh. Not in a mean spirited way of course.

Exactly what I was thinking. They've become the people they hated, and their employees, want to kill them. But of course they don't and everybody leans something in the end.
Also, Emma Stone is one of the employees.
She'll find her way to you one day, Rorie.
Haven't seen all of Bridesmaids but I wasn't a fan of Hangover 2 so I'm not sure I'd want sequels for these films, especially Horrible Bosses
I am starting to wonder if Emma Stone ever checked out this website if she would be extremely creeped out by Rorie.

Yeah, this.
Bridesmaids was easily one of the best films of 2011. it was so refreshing, genuinely laugh-out-loud funny and had a fresh, awesome cast with Kristen Wiig, Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy and the others. I don't know if i'd like a sequel though, ONLY if it's about Annie's (Wiig's) wedding ... I hope she will be involved! :(
Dont know why everyone automatically assumes a squeal to something is a bad thing.
Because she'll be with me.
I'm fine with a Bridesmaids sequel, not sure about Horrible Bosses though. The red band trailer really spoiled that film for me.
Rorie is confusing comedy with fantasy again
Hangover II is one of the worst films that I have ever seen, not looking forward to either of these unnecessary sequels to damn funny movies.
Bridesmaids was overlong and boring. Every scene went on five minutes too long.
I would be okay with a Horrible Bosses sequel, however, if they kept on Bob Newhart from the end of the first one.
Hmm...McCarthy was good in Bridesmaids, but I think the relatively small but regular doses of her character was for the best. I'm not sure how I feel about her leading the franchise. That and the idea of not having Wiig as the star seems a little odd.
I really really really dont want there to be a sequel to that awful awful awful Horrible Bosses movie
Bridesmaids 2 could be fun. Pity Kristen Wig isn't returning.
