Crackle isn't what comes to mind when you imagine original streaming programming. Netflix and Amazon have put forth a more diverse series of shows and films and have done a better job at marketing their efforts. It also helps that shows like House of Cards and Alpha House get a lot of attention from big names and big actors. But when it comes to comedy few are bigger than Jerry Seinfeld.
Crackle's own original show called Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee is now in it's third season and features pretty much what you would expect. Jerry Seinfeld picks up a well known comedian, anyone from Sarah Silverman, Patton Oswalt, Louis CK, Chris Rock, Larry David, or Don Rickles, and drives them around in a classic car while picking up a bite to eat or a warm cup of coffee. Along the way the two discuss comedy, life, and anything else that comes to mind while out for the day.
The show was a little gem on the internet for a small while but now with 25 million streams it is Crackles number one original series and is garnering more attention. With a fourth season already announced this could bring a third contender in the quickly crowded original programs on streaming market. Quality choices are never a bad thing however and it only proves that the internet isn't just a passing fad.
