Community Showcase: August 20!

So excited for this weekend to begin! Just like that dog I'll be out fishing and hopefully catching something while I'm at it. Because of this I won't be around this weekend to post anything up on ScreenedPups so I hope everyone can somehow survive this drought. Despite my absence you guys can enjoy all the amazing work some of the users did this past week. We have some valiant efforts to rid Screened of plagiarism as well as a ton of reviews. So let's not waste any more time and get right to it.

• Starting off is VilhelmNielsen ranting about what makes a good sci-fi movie as well as his thoughts on The Adjustment Bureau.
• MrMazz never stops killing...its on reviews. This week he reviews Final Destination 5.
• HandsomeDead gives a lackluster score towards Larry Crowne.
• User Winston went crazy. He reviewed: Captain America, Friends with Benefits, Super 8, Larry Crowne, Cowboys and Aliens, Midnight in Paris, The Beaver, and Cars 2.
• Our own moderator Pat4327 reviewed the Spy Kids 4 Aroma-Scope feature. God help us it sounds so bad its good.
• CrimsonAvenger reviewed The Black Dahlia.
• RHCPfan24 did a Rise of the Planet of the Apes review. And tells his gorilla story.
• User Ozone not only had the chat open for it but he also reviewed WWE: SummerSlam 2011.
• Cars 2 was actually defended by jackanderson and loved The Inbetweeners Movie.

Wiki Edits:

• Starting off the wiki edits with a pat of my own back. I wrote up Ip Man 2 and Paul. Their good examples of how to write up a movie if you need it.
• FoxxFireArt took to rooting out some plagiarism by editing the Lara Croft Tomb Raider page and spruced up the Mr. Freeze page.
• TepidShark did a history of Donner Cut of Superman II. Superman never catches a break.
• Continuing the man of steel theme CrimsonAvenger wrote up the first Superman.
• User eshchan saw something....he wrote up I saw the devil.
• Paulrus finished everything possible on ponies and switched to American Splendor.
• Skidd wrote up a huge article on Underworld: Awakening. Kate is back and its in 3D!
• And one huge thank you to CrimsonAvenger and Vichyssoise who spotted some bad cases of plagiarism which are now being fixed.

Hey, I Did Good Stuff Too!

Want to get your content featured in the future? Well, first off, make sure it's top-notch. If you're making a user review or editing the wiki, be sure to use the image tools to throw in some pictures or videos or bullet points and spice it up a bit! Ensure that it's all well-written (maybe have another user edit it for you?) and free of misspellings.

If you want to submit something for next week's list, you can do so via this thread in our Editing and Tools forum! We are virile and our stamina is unmatched, and yet the site is a bit too big for us to find all the cool content that you guys rock out every week. But if you post in that thread, it'll be a lot easier for us to make sure that we have your nominations all in a line. As always, a big shoutout to everyone else who nominates stuff for these posts.

It's especially welcome if you want to nominate awesome content from another user, so please do nominate away! (And if you ever send something to us and it's not featured in the community showcase, PM a mod or Rorie and we'll try to sneak it in.).
