I don't know if you've been visiting Tested since the upgrade but they have been doing some great stuff over there. I really enjoy some of the crazy stuff Adam Savage gets up to and it makes me feel a bit better about being into whatever I'm into for the week. I think it also helps that I'm really jealous of that Indiana Jones hat. While I look up hat prices you look at all these awesome Pups things.

Want to get your content featured in the future? Well, first off, make sure it's top-notch. If you're making a user review or editing the wiki, be sure to use the image tools to throw in some pictures or videos or bullet points and spice it up a bit! Ensure that it's all well-written (maybe have another user edit it for you?) and free of misspellings.
If you want to submit something for next week's list, you can do so via this thread in our Editing and Tools forum! We are virile and our stamina is unmatched, and yet the site is a bit too big for us to find all the cool content that you guys rock out every week. But if you post in that thread, it'll be a lot easier for us to make sure that we have your nominations all in a line. As always, a big shoutout to everyone else who nominates stuff for these posts.
It's especially welcome if you want to nominate awesome content from another user, so please do nominate away! (And if you ever send something to us and it's not featured in the community showcase, PM a mod or Sadie/Stacey and we'll try to sneak it in.).
What upgrade? They ruined the site for a good while with the hasty transition and some hamfisted design choices. The content has recovered and is in a great place but the site itself still has critical problems and weaknesses that it didn't have before it was uprooted.
Or are we talking about the kind of "upgrades" that include firing Rorie then putting the site design on autopilot to the point where it still shows a Whiskey logo and badly-outdated Tested, Comic Vine and Giant Bomb headlines in the footer? Is Screened as moribund as it looks?
@Foggen: After the intial transition update Tested has been updated a few times since that has included new features as well as some overlooked old ones. Will Smith recently admitted that original design had to be put together in 2 weeks time and wasn't what anyone wanted. He also said in addition to the smaller updates Tested has been getting a new, bigger one, was on its way.
We don't know if Rorie was fired or if he was offered a job and refused it, no one knows except BB and Rorie and neither side has spoken about it. I assume Screened will get it's upgrade along with AV and Tested when they get their big update.

I listened to that podcast too, so I understand why Tested was ruined the way it was, and I know about the upcoming revision. I contend that nothing in the past can be described as an upgrade.
First off good job people honestly make this site worth coming to.
I was I guess you could say a little mad at the buyout. Though my anger was more directed at Tested than any of the other formerly WM sites. Seriously Tested as it is, to me, is ugly. Yellow on White and Black and sharp edges, just is not pretty to my eyes. Than things were not working and they were expanding what they talked about, into areas I didn't like. So I quit everything about that site cold tureky. I've slowly gone back though the site works a LOT better now, it's still ugly but functional ugly. Their videos are getting better, seeing inside the random cosplay and stuff that Adam has is kind of cool. Hopefully Screened can get some BB love.
@oueddy: He seemed pretty bummed over losing his job for a guy who supposedly left voluntarily.

@ThePickle: We get more than that. And why would they buy a website, pay an employee to run the website, and spend the money to keep the website up and running when they could just sell it all tomorrow?
The business decision doesn't make sense to spend a bunch of money on Screened only to let it die.

@ThePickle: Alex was kind of already gone. Screened has issues but Tested had to be rebranded to fit its new image. But again, from a business stand point, why continue running a website you want to go away? You own it. You can shut it down on a moment's notice. Why spend money on something you just want to go away?
I agree it sucks it has been so long. And Screened needs a lot of time and attention payed to it. But I disagree with the point that BB is altogether ignoring Screened or hoping it dies. It doesn't make business sense or common sense to me.
