Well, at least NBC is trying to have a sense of humor about the delay of the premiere of Season 4 of Community? The show originally was scheduled to begins its Friday night run tonight, but it was announced that NBC is no longer focusing on Friday night programming, and it will air at some other time. Its original companion piece, Whitney, has already been rescheduled to air on Wednesdays, replacing the freshman show Animal Practice that was pulled off the schedule due to very low ratings this week.
So....where does this leave Community? Nobody knows - including Troy and Abed as they tell us on the new edition of "Troy and Abed in the Morning". The one hope, is that they truly are waiting to see how the schedule turns out and it just might make it in to a better time slot than Friday night. By putting this video out, at least NBC is making a statement and it is not just being put on a shelf to die...fingers crossed.
Watch the video here (it won't embed) and let's all get excited for October 19th...whenever that may be.

This is one of my favorite shows. It sucks that it has such a rocky staff.
“Troy and Abed in the Morn-ning ... Nights!!!”
As funny as that was it just makes me miss this show even more. With Animal Hospital going after only a handful of episodes in favor of Whitney it's clear NBC it desperate and just making moves that look good on paper.
I dig the promo it's that kind of humor that Community does. Only now it just seems like the corporate shills are just playing that against us in an attempt to appease are appetites and not burn this mother down.
Guess Annies Boobs will be able to guess more often now.
I have never seen an episode of community.
I guess I'm part of the problem then? But I am british.
Part of me is happy that Whitney is taking the place of Animal Practice, because after that series tanks and they have to cancel it, then NBC will freak out and go "We'll give you Community, just please watch something," and when it gets anything close to good ratings NBC will be too tired to cancel it to try and get something better.
I didn't think Animal Hospital was all that bad the few times I saw it, easily better than Whitney. Animal Hospital was actually kind of quirky and with a little time for the writing to mature would have complimented Community quite well. But then, look at how they treat Community.
NBC seems to be stuck in the 80s when everyone had only four channels and little else to compete for their free time. Now , I do not care how much you promote a show, it needs time to carve out its niche and find a fanbase. If you only want to give a show 90 minutes before you put it out to pasture then break it into 10 minute bites and put it on Youtube. It has a better chance there than with 3 episodes aired at seemingly random times.
But what can you expect from the network that disables fast forward and cuts out the bands when watching its SNL on demand. I don't mind watching commercials, its the bad skits I want to skip!
If I had to guess at NBCs biggest problem, its old, embedded executives.
Goddamnit NBC, you cannot make me like you. No matter how many promos you make. But this promo is some baller shit.

Good news everyone! Chevy Chase dropped the n-word on the set of Community!
I love how NBC loves its self-deprecating humor but does nothing to fix the problems they make fun of.

Chevy Chase and Pierce Hawthorne have merged into one.
