This is what this weeks DVD releases feel like...a group of executives got together and said "Why don't we take this week release everything that did not do that great at the box office, but since there will be no big movie released we can hope they can make a little more money." While Project X did better at the box office than many expected (apparently teenagers showing breasts and doing drugs is a big draw), Wanderlust, Big Miracle and Jeff, Who Lives at Home did not. I actually do want to see Wanderlust. I sometimes have trouble paying to see comedies in theaters, but I thought it looked good. Jennifer Aniston having to rough it? Who couldn't help but love seeing that. Otherwise, I will be re-watching Louie and Wilfred, because they are funny and worth a first...or second watch.
| 1. Wanderlust The Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston movie that nobody really saw, which was surprising, because it is a comedy that most think is actually funny. Well, here is your chance to make up for it… and for a lot cheaper too. | |
| 2. Project X The found footage party movie where you can watch a bunch of kids drink, do drugs, and set things on fire. You might just enjoy it, yet will probably hate yourself if you do. | |
| 3. Big Miracle Why have I never heard of this movie?! It's about some trapped whales named Fred, Wilma and Bam Bam. There is hope for the whales! You can save them Drew Barrymore! I know you can! (I'm so there.) | |
| 4. Jeff Who Lives at Home Ed Helms and Jason Segel. Awesome combo. It's an indie comedy about how messed up families are. Directed by the Duplass brothers and as one of them (Mark) can do no wrong in my book, I think we all should watch this. | |
| 5. Seeking Justice Oh, Nicolas Cage, screw those mean bad men…you go get your justice! | |
| 6. Louie The Complete Second Season. "Louie, Louie, Louie, Louieeee." There is no story I like more than when a comic has been around and struggling for years finally makes a show that is as creatively interesting as it is hysterical. | |
| 7. Wilfred The Complete First Season It's so weird, but so good. | |
| 8. K-On! The Complete Second Season Blu-Ray It's the final year of high school for the founding members of the Light Music Club. They are looking for new members, but making sure they still have time for "After School Tea Time." This sounds awesome? |

I loved wet hot american summer, so I kind of feel obligated to seek out Wanderlust
Also, the second season of Louie was some of the best TV of the season when it was on, so I gotta find some time to get the show eventually
What's up with that last entry? K-On has been out on blu-ray for months.

Sorry...I missed...it is Season 2 of the series on Blu-Ray.
I want to see Wanderlust, Big Miracle, and Jeff Lives at Home. I'll see Seeking Justice after I'm caught up on my DVD new releases.
Louie and Wilfred were excellent, I can't wait for the next season's premier tomorrow.
Wilfred's awesome as hell! The first season is also on FX's On Demand section if you're a Comcast user, so it's a good time to catch up. Can't wait for season two! <3
@staceywi: You look interested in that last entry. I recommend going through both seasons of "K-On!" because there is some good humor and some light-hearted charm contained inside of that series. <3
