It always take the better and more successful films from the summer to come to home video. These in between movies that either do well at the box office but poorly with critics or vice versa tends to land them in our laps much earlier. Hopefully this means a few will land on a streaming service or two pretty soon so I can enjoy more of them.
1. Pain & Gain
A Michael Bay release that wasn't instantly scoffed at by every movie critic deserves some attention. Despite being a decent film from Bay it also didn't set the world on fire. Expect some laughs and a lot of action from this one.
2. The Great Gatsby
Despite a $300 million box office the reviews for Gatsby weren't great. Despite loving the book in school this movie didn't really reel me in. The production troubles before the release, the heavy reliance on 3-D, and the strange inclusion of modern music all confused me before seeing it.
3. The Walking Dead
The third season is now available for you. The battle between the prison and Woodbury was possibly the best season since this show began. Known for a lot of filler episodes the third film really felt complete and like it's own story.
