A couple of comedy classics mixed in with probably one of the best horror films of all time. Jaws is often overlooked as a horror film since it's a pretty common movie. Horror films tend to be niche and something few people watch, not a summer blockbuster. It's a great summer film since it both captures a town having fun at the beach and then shifts quickly into a monster movie.
|1. The Producers|
A Mel Brooks classic and if you haven't seen it you really should. It's about two producers who plan on raising money for a ridiculous musical they never plan on making in hopes of taking the money from investors and running away to Brazil.
Another true classic and the perfect summer movie, especially if you never want to go to the beach again. A cross between a monster movie and a suspenseful horror film. Who needs a beach trip anyways?
|3. The Kentucky Fried Movie|
From the same director who brought you Animal House and The Naked Gun, John Landis, Kentucky Fried Movie This film marks the start of many careers and is more of a sketch comedy movie than a true film. It also marks one of the original spoof movies going after a lot of the more popular films of the time.
