Not everything will live up to expectations and for a lot of comic fans Man of Steel is a movie that didn't. I came away from the movie neither loving or hating it but enjoying my time with it. I'm glad they're making more and would rather see good Superman movies than none. Perhaps we're a bit too harsh on the things we love and spend so much time with. Not everything will live up to our expectations and we have to learn to enjoy those things even if they don't live up to be super.
|1. Man of Steel|
The reboot of the Superman franchise wasn't the huge success maybe everyone was hoping for. It was a competent reintroduction for the character and franchise however and seemingly will begin DC's big push into major motion pictures. This wasn't the Superman film I was looking for but I glad to have watched it.
Ryan Reynolds had two flops this summer, RIPD and this. An animated kid's film about a fast snail seems like a strange combination of Cars and animals but it just didn't do well with choices like Monsters University still sitting in theaters.

Normally a Paul Rudd anchored film would big a more recognizable name. This quirky comedy stealthily came out did alright with critics and glad to see it out already on home video and hopefully streaming options will follow. About two road workers in 1988 and their misadventures on the job this film looks like the kind of comedy I might enjoy.
