As much as The Heat interests me and as into Star Wars, and for a bit The Clone Wars show in specific, this week is all about Pacific Rim. You can't blame a movie for going for a specific tone and style and nailing everything. If you, for some reason, don't think giant robots created to fight giant mysterious monster sounds interesting then Pacific Rim isn't for you. More than likely though you don't mind the occasional pure fun movie.
1. Pacific Rim
It cometh! For a lot of this it was the movie of the summer. Giant robots kicking giant monster ass? What more could you ask for?! But really, if you've yet to enjoy Pacific Rim go out and rent or buy this film, you probably already know if you'd like it or not by now.
2. The Heat
Somewhat of a surprise hit for me. I didn't expect a comedy from Sandra Bullock to not only succeed but to do really well. I never got a chance to see this film but heard positive buzz around it.
3. Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Season 5 and a 1-5 collector's set for the Star Wars fans out there. I really like Clone Wars even if it does start leaning a bit more towards a kid's show. Eventually the tone leans darker and you get more interesting side and back stories from the prequel era of Star Wars.
