
What's interesting about this story, though, is how this got the attention of the the studios. Scott Glassgold and Raymond Brothers, who owned the remake rights, caught Jaron Pitts' fantastic, and fake, Green Lantern trailer online. That viral video used footage from other films to create an exciting look at what Green Lantern could be. So, the two hired Pitts to do the same for Technotise, piecing together bits of Minority Report, Children of Men, Avatar, and more.
That trailer went viral, getting the attention of Shutter Island scribe Laeta Kalogridis, who pitched it to Legendary, and will subsequently be writing the script. Here's Pitts' trailer:
