He wrote Animal House, Ghostbusters, Caddyshack, Stripes, Groundhog Day, and Analyze This. He directed many of the same and even acted in a few, most well known of those roles was Egon in both Ghostbusters films. If you go back through the 80s classic comedies there is a good probability you'll have Ramis' comedic touch somehow involved. His style of comedy would dominate that decade and continue on to influence writers to this day. It's sad to see such a comedy legend leave us but it is comforting to know we still have his hearty sense of humor around in the movies he wrote, directed, and starred in.
