My Dear Screened Pups,
I have been here for awhile now, and while we spend much of our day together and you read many of my ramblings about what you should be watching on television, marathoning and my thoughts on upcoming trailers and movies, you don't know much about me. I have gotten to know some of you through my appearances on the Pupcast, but it's not fair to leave everyone else out. So…here you go:
My name is, in fact, Stacey. The wi stands for Winget - my last name. This is pronounced as if it were spelled Win-jet…not Wingit, Wingnut, Widget or any other thing mean children come up with.
This is my twitter: staceyw55 (although don't kill me that I don't use it very much and oftentimes it is of instagram pictures of my adorable black lab who is sitting at my feet as I write this). Here is an example of said photos:
Also, I'm trying to get better at tweeting.
This is my background: I went to film school studied critical studies, which included history, theory, analysis and many other things I didn’t think I would actual use in my life until I began working on Screened. When I graduated I began working in the Casting department at FOX. (The network not News, thankfully). I stayed there for 8 years and worked on more pilots and current series than I can even count. I was there during the production of 24, and was such a psycho super Jack Bauer fan, I used to plug my ears or leave meetings when anyone talked about it because I wanted to watch on-air. True story.
This is what I love: movies and television. And movies on television. And television on movies, oh wait.
This is what I also do: photography and producing. I produced a music video for my brother-in-law's band last year, and I am working on various other projects, including a short film. This is all in my "free" time or lack thereof, so don't worry, you get my attention during the day. I just don't sleep. That is fun.
This is who are great: Screened Pups. I thank you all for your support during this transition and it has been a true pleasure to get to write and post for you.
This is who I am obsessed with: Benedict Cumberbatch. Mostly, from Sherlock, but really from anything. ANYTHING! He's delicious. Here you see a picture of us together. Cute, right?
This is what I what I will be doing more of: Pupcasts. I will be guesting on the community run Pupcast, and posting on the frontpage, so tune in if you would like to hear more of my musings on various subjects along with some other pups. Find the latest episode here if you missed it.
Kindly yours,
staceywi aka Stacey Winget

Benedict Cumberbatch + Downton Abbey seems like something that should happen.
The Cumberbatch expression mixed with yours is GREAT. And +10 for having a dog it looks cute.
Also isnt the Braun in BermaBraun the guy who apparently came up with LOST?
Nice to finally meet you Stacy!
Wait who are you again? :P
I demand that you attach new pictures of your black lab with EVERY post you make from now on.
Pleasure to be finally introduced. I like Screened a lot, really invigorated my interest in movies, hopefully we get it back to its former glory! Also puppies!
Huh - wow - there really are some other Biz peeps on here.
Nice to meet you!
, you're cute as fuck. Also, please don't leave. And also talk to your boss(es) about getting more editors and making this site awesome again.
glad to finally meet you properly.
I dunno, just weird.
Greetings, Staceywi, as a new member of the screen comunity, it's nice to meet you, It's especially nice to see the person behind the many Avatars.
Do you work with, in-person, the other Screened Editors, or are you all working from home?
Also, will you guys at Screened be doing any home-brewed video content, kind of like this: http://www.screened.com/besties-the-abyss/128-815/ at all?
This sort of content was instrumental in the crowds that came/come to Screened.com liking the Whiskey sites so damn much.
It helped us know the preferences of who we were listening to and reading so that we could make an even more informed decisions on what we saw or did, entertainment-wise, based on if you do or don't like a thing.
Hello,
Rachael MacFarlaneStacey Winget! Nice to meet you! I'm Callum, you'll know me as The Scrappy of the Pupcast (Holy crap, that was way more of a pun than I intended). I, too, am a psycho-fan of 24, adorably cute dogs and the awesomeness of Benedict Cumberbatch (awesomeness, not man-crushness. Not whilst Nathan Fillion walks this Earth). I also have a not at all creepy obsession with Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Anna Kendrick and Alison Brie (yes, the list has grown). Let's be bestest buds forever!(Note: The Rachael MacFarlane thing is not in the slightest way an insult. I'll have to share the wonderful, friendship-ruining reason why on a future Pupcast because I don't know when to stop saying things! Fortunately, Glee taught me that, since I have Asperger's, I can say whatever the f*ck I like and get away with it because of my Asperger's! TV would never lie to me!)
HEY I ALSO LOVE MOVIES AND TELEVISION THIS IS GONNA WORK OUT GREAT
This is gonna sound creepy and weird, but it's not: I already knew a lot of that. I had typed "staceywi" into Google the day you started here and found most of that stuff. I like your photography work. Hopefully that can come in handy with Screened as well at some point.
Either way, a formal introduction is to be repaid with a formal introduction:
My name is Josh. I'm over-opinionated and can be a bit of an asshole at times, but I do genuinely mean well 98% of the time. My favorite movie is __________. It changes on a weekly basis. My default answer is "The Godfather Part 2" because it can barely be refuted. My favorite television series ever will always be All in the Family, but Sanford and Sons takes a close second.
I also have dogs: two at my parents' house and one at my house. I agree with FinalDasa that you should be posting way more pictures of that awesome dog!
Beyond that, I'm sorry for any gruff I may have thrown at Screened. I think you do a solid job on articles around here, and I'm still always checking back.
YES!
Yes, this is true. It is Lloyd Braun and he was very integral in the process and came up with the initial idea for a show on a deserted island. You might also know his name from this Seinfeld clip. He is good friends with Larry David. It's funny.
I like this idea, but that's A LOT of photos. However, he might start making some appearances. His full name is Rhodes Warrior Beyond Thunderdome by the way, Rhodes in daily life.
I'm working on more the more writers thing. Not sure if it will happen, but we'll see. Fingers crossed for all of us.
I'm not trying to steal Rorie's "thing" and sorry if it feels weird. I'm just trying to be honest about who I am and Rhodes is a huge part of my life and even work life as he comes to the office with me often.
Welcome new member!
I work at the BermanBraun office, but the other editors are not here and work from home. I totally understand the value of those videos, and I'm seeing what I can do, but make no guarantees at this point. However, I get your point and perhaps in the meantime will see if I could write some "Besties" or similar articles so you can get a better judge of my taste and hopefully that might help.
Bauer BFFs for life!! I can't wait to hear this Rachael MacFarlance story. Oh, Glee...
Wonderful news!
It's the information age, so not really unexpected at all. Nice to meet you, Josh and thanks for the kind words and I'll work on that dog thing!
Nice to officially meet you, as well!
STacy it is nice to meet you! I'm glad your a pet person!
We've already met but still great to see this up ^^
Thanks for finally letting us get to know you! And I agree with the idea to put Rhodes into every article. There's been a sore lack of puppies on this site for too long now!
