Jericho Just Won't Die.

We might need to start calling Netflix "The Resurrection" Network

Netflix is eyeing the possibility of picking up another cancelled show, and this time it is Jericho. They have begun conversations with CBS and are in the process of trying to make a deal to bring the series (that was cancelled twice on the network) to the online streaming outlet. Jericho was a series starring Skeet Ulrich that revolves around the residents of a small town in Kansas by the name of Jericho. After a devastating nuclear assault on major cities in the U.S the residents of the town have to do their best to survive and restore their life to some normalcy.

After season one, CBS cancelled the show because of its low ratings. Masses of fans who were not happy with this decision launched a campaign to save the show by sending 20 tons of nuts to CBS, and this time it actually worked. They brought the series back for another 7 episodes but were forced to ultimately cancel it after it received poor ratings, yet again. The writers of the show gave fans some satisfaction as they chose to continue the story of the series in comic book format. In April, the newest series of comics was announced entitled Jericho Season 4. Now, there is still a long road before the show could actually be appearing on Netflix (even if they are able to make a deal with CBS, they will have to figure out timing and actor availabilities). That being said, there likely will not be a problem with Skeet Ulrich's schedule as I don't think he has been doing much since Law and Order: Los Angeles was cancelled.

This made me think…what other cancelled-too-early shows would we be dying to bring back and would love to see on Netflix? I think my top choice would have to be Arrested Development, (which happily they have already announced and will arrive to the streaming service in 2013). My other choice would be Kitchen Confidential. Based on the book by Anthony Bourdain and starring pre-Hangover Bradley Cooper, it was fresh and charming and I think never got a fair shot on FOX (ironically, it was programmed on Monday nights with Arrested Development) and was gone before it had time to really grow in to its audience. I know with Cooper's successful film career this might be difficult, but possibly following suit of Arrested, we can still hope. What do you guys think? What shows would be worth starting a "Netflix: The Resurrection" campaign over?

Netflix needs to stop. Nobody cares about Jericho anymore

Firefly! Even though Nathan Fillion may be too busy with Castle, which is also a great show.

Netflix is crazy and it's awesome. I'm glad there is a network out there willing to give some dead/dying shows a chance.

Maybe if this were a couple years earlier I could see it happening but no not so much.

Jeremiah > Jericho..

I can't be the only one who's never heard of this show. Sounds interesting enough, but definitely an odd choice. Maybe they're going after less known shows because they'll be significant;y cheaper?

Stargate Universe, and the UK show called survivors.

Jeremiah is a show that I haven't heard of! What did I miss out on? Similar to Jericho I presume?

While I'm excited for Arrested Development's return, I'm also pissed off because it will debut only on the U.S. Netflix.

Yes, very similar premise but done years earlier.. based on series of comics. Written by J.M.S. (babylon 5, etc). did 2 seasons.

The second season of Jeremiah sucked out loud. Loved most of the first one though.

How about JMS gets together with Netflix and we see a rebuild of Babylon 5: Crusade.

Except this was the original send-stuff-to-save-the-show campaign.

This was pretty much my consensus on it too, but I am curious as to find out what happened with the story line.. might just read the wiki for it..

I would be so happy if Netflix produced Jericho! Jericho was a fantastic show that was cancelled way too soon!

I really really enjoyed Jericho's first season. I was one of those late to watch it folks, so I watched it afterwards. I liked the feel and development of characters and plot, BUT its return for a second season felt so rushed and lost so many beloved characters, I'm not sure how and where they could pick it up and have me fully invested. I'm invested, and yes, would love for it to return . . a lot of people care about Jericho, its a question of is it enough.
