I can feel myself slipping back into the habit of always watching Netflix. Just out of habit, and thanks to the lack of anything good on TV, Netflix is an awesome resource to just have something on while you're doing random other things.
New To Netflix Apr. 4th
1. The Hunger Games
The movie that brought Jennifer Lawrence to the forefront is now on Netflix. While Hunger Games didn't win her any Oscars it was still a pretty good movie. I never read the books but the movie had me hooked on the world it introduced. Hopefully the following sequels can do as good of a job.
I never watched much of Fringe when it was on TV but now I just might. The show is about strange things and the strange things causing them. Think X-Files but less smoking and just a bit weirder.
3. Adventure Time
A lot of people love Adventure Time. I personally didn't get into it but recently went to a convention where I saw SO MANY Adventure Time cosplayers. Now I don't really ever want to see someone wearing those rabbit ears ever again. Adventure Time isn't the only Cartoon Network show to pop up on Netflix, so be on the look out for the other ones.
4. Batman Beyond
After the early 90s Batman animated series it was difficult to believe a new Batman could take over and be just as good. In Batman Beyond it's the future and the Batman you know it old and in need to a replacement. Beyond did a good balance between setting up its own universe while pleasing fans with homages to the old.
Like with Adventure Time, Metalocalypse is one of many Adult Swim shows now up on Netflix. This is one of my favorites of those late night cartoons mainly because the music they make fun of they also do a damn good job of creating.
Expiring Soon Apr. 4th
1. Paranormal Activity 2
Apr. 7th- After the low budget hit of the first film, this sequel took advantage of the story and expanded upon it. Before that story took hold and went a little crazy this film did a great job of being both scary but also had a plot worth paying attention to.
2. Winnebago Man
Apr. 11th- Before the internet there were still videos people passed around and talked about. One of them was Winnebago Man, a series of angry bloopers from a man trying his best to make a video selling Winnebagos. This documentary finds the man behind the video and discovers more than they were really expecting.
