So, here's the final (?) trailer for Marvel's The Avengers, featuring a few new scenes of Iron Man actually fighting Thor, as well as some new shots of their mid-New York battle with the still-unnamed alien enemies.
Enjoy the trailer, and let us know what you think in the comments. Here are some screengrabs:
Stark is so cool he made an armor-removal machine that actually strips him as he walks.
Pretty damn nice building there, Mr. Stark.
Thor takes advantage of the Chrysler Building's hidden Tesla coils.
DURRRR
DURRRR
At least Loki'll be well-dressed.
Loki's plan apparently involves some kind of mass-distributed energy weapon.
My superpower is prettiness.
The dapper doctor, living in a shabby hut.
One would think that it's been proven that guns don't really work against the Hulk.
Unstoppable force, meet immovable object.
Looks like we'll get at least one good scene of Hulk actually Hulking out. Maybe they'll have to trick him into fighting the aliens?
I see the Hulk's been remodeled to look more like Mark Ruffalo. I didn't notice as much a resemblance between Ed Norton and his Hulk. Eric Bana and his did look a lot a like, though.
Also, I see we get the time-honored "Let's make an excuse for superheroes to fight each other" in this film.
To be fair, Mark Ruffalo's face lends itself to hulkification a lot better than Ed Norton's.
I find it fascinating that Hawkeye has the least screen time in this trailer, and not a single spoken word. Forgot he was in it till the obligatory slo-mo-backwards-arrow shot.
This is really looking better and better with each trailer. I'm excited but it's time to go over to Comic Vine and find out what exactly makes "Mr. Bow and Arrow" and "Ass with a Pistol" at all handy in this kind of a fight.
While I like what I'm seeing in the trailer I'm still going to slot this one for a home video release. My 3D television provides a better experience then the theater, with the exclusion of IMAX so this will be something the family can throw the glasses on for.
@PenguinDust: The Avengers have a long history of fighting each other. They respect each other (most of the time), but that doesn't mean they always get along. Every single one of them has ego issues, especially Stark and Hawkeye.
hawkeye and black widow are drastically out of place on this team. I hope they do something in the story to acknowledge that.
I have felt the same after every trailer, maybe they're different in the comics I don't know, but when you're standing next to the frikin' Hulk, Iron Man and Thor they just don't look right.
Hard as I try, I can't get excited for this solely due to ScarJo. Maybe she gets killed off?!? Oh, yeah... she needs her shitty Elektra-type spinoff. :/
Also, cap in his new mask kinda looks like a penis. Just sayin'.
Really? We're not gonna let Jeremy Renner say ANYTHING in the new Avengers trailer? Despite him being one of, like, four recognizable actors in this flick? Clearly this trailer needs to set the world on fire.
I've never been sold on the new Marvel franchise. As fun as the original Iron Man and Thor were, I couldn't care enough to catch Captain America, and I may see Avengers, but probably not in a movie theater.
Nick Fury and the international agency S.H.I.E.L.D. bring together a team of super humans to form The Avengers to help save the Earth from the villainous Loki & his army of extra-terrestrial beings that threaten to enslave humanity.

In the comics, being awesome provides you with special powers of plot contrivance, so I think Hawkeye and Black Widow will be fine.
Now Joss Whedon has a budget.
Ho...Ho...Ho.
Rorie I love you.

I'm afraid that I have zero interest in this movie. I just cant' seem to get excited about comic book characters anymore. Except for Batman.
It seems to me like the Hulk looks more like Lou Ferrigno than Mark Ruffalo, especially in that one toy-selling screenshot.

That spinning shot of the full team is still all kinds of badass.
So what do you think? Is that supposed to be Fin Fang Foom at the end?
So are we sure it's the Skrull's now or?
I......I can't stop smiling like a little school girl!!!!!!
The Dark Knight Rises is going to pale in comparison to the epicness that will be The Avengers.
