So, here's the final (?) trailer for Marvel's The Avengers, featuring a few new scenes of Iron Man actually fighting Thor, as well as some new shots of their mid-New York battle with the still-unnamed alien enemies.
Enjoy the trailer, and let us know what you think in the comments. Here are some screengrabs:
Stark is so cool he made an armor-removal machine that actually strips him as he walks.
Pretty damn nice building there, Mr. Stark.
Thor takes advantage of the Chrysler Building's hidden Tesla coils.
DURRRR
DURRRR
At least Loki'll be well-dressed.
Loki's plan apparently involves some kind of mass-distributed energy weapon.
My superpower is prettiness.
The dapper doctor, living in a shabby hut.
One would think that it's been proven that guns don't really work against the Hulk.
Unstoppable force, meet immovable object.
Looks like we'll get at least one good scene of Hulk actually Hulking out. Maybe they'll have to trick him into fighting the aliens?
Whilst I hate pretty much every single thing to do with Joss Whedon, I will admit I want to see this movie (damn sight more than the spiderman reboot and the dark knight rises). Just a shame that Captain America looks so silly. He did not look so ridiculous in the first avenger, did he?
@PenguinDust: Well its a superhero teamup. So by comiclaw they are required to fight each other before they take on the bad guys.
I'm not complaining, it's just as you said, "comic law" that heroes need to beat the snot out of each other before then team up. I guess it has to do with fan wondering who would win. Of course, "Hulk is strongest", so why do they even bother sometimes? ;-)

Eric Bana and his did look a lot a like, though.
That's weird, considering Ang lee did the motion capture for the Hulk himself.
I was really talking about the CG character design. Ang Lee might have done the motion capture, but I think the animators tired to make the 2003 Hulk model look as if he evolved from Eric Bana's Banner. There were moments in the 2008 film where Norton's Hulk resembled him, but most of the time, it wasn't that obvious. I see it immediately in this new Avengers movie.
@bonorbitz: Norton and the director (Louis Leterrier) wanted the final cut of The Incredible Hulk to be a bit slower and character driven. Marvel wanted a faster paced action movie. Obviously, Marvel won. Norton never let go of it, and relations between the two sides soured quickly.
@Gambit1024: @jimjimman: Thanks for the info. Very disappointing. I don't recognize the dude who's playing Banner in the Avengers movie, so I gotta do some research...
@bonorbitz: No prob. That's Mark Ruffalo. I can't recall anything he's been in unfortunately, but I don't care enough about Bruce Banner to actually go check, lol. I'm going for Hulk, not the puny human.
Comic people and others. Im curious where the supporting cast for each IP are hiding while the main guys chill out and be Avengery. Im talking your War Machine, your friendly Norse Gods, your token loveinterests etc.
@ryanwho: As far as I know, Gwyneth Paltrow is going to be in the movie, but you make a good point, I wonder if Anthony Hopkins, Don Cheadle, Liv Tyler, Natalie Portman and the other important supporting cast of the movies will appear even for a cameo.
I thought this was such a cheeseball and crass thing to do to the other movies. Each film has been a trailer for the upcoming Avengers movie. The first Iron Man was the only one I enjoyed, really. But I'm kind of eating my own words because of how entertaining this looks and the talent involved. Take my money already, sheesh.
The image before you start the video shows Cobie Smoulders from How I Met Your Mother (Robin). Fun Fact. Apart from that the movie looks sick. I hated everything about Thor and swore i wasn't going to see anymore of these movies but this looks promising.
Smoulders is playing the role of Maria Hill, Fury's right-hand-woman.
Nick Fury and the international agency S.H.I.E.L.D. bring together a team of super humans to form The Avengers to help save the Earth from the villainous Loki & his army of extra-terrestrial beings that threaten to enslave humanity.
Though I'm not sold on New Hulk yet.
Hell yes am I so going to do my second (and final) annual "I Skip Prom to Watch A Marvel Movie" with this.

48 on metacritic isn't exactly great. Maybe "middling" is a bit better description than terrible, though.
EDIT: I dug up these quotes from Rorie's 2-star review.
"Its sequel, however, mostly undoes whatever charm was established by its predecessor."
"Game Of Shadows just isn’t a film that works, although it certainly seems to be convinced that it does."
Personally I liked this trailer...except that there wasn't enough bass in the beginning. Need more bass.

Holy shit! I don't know much about the Avengers but this looks like a lot of fun!
Does anyone know why Ed Norton isn't playing Banner?

Creative differences between Norton and the guys at Marvel, from what I understand.

@bonorbitz: Mark Ruffalo, he was nominated to an oscar last year for The Kids Are Alright, he was also in David Fincher's Zodiac.

I wish a Hawkeye movie would actually happen.
