The legendary British/Irish actor Peter O'Toole passed away this past Saturday in London after a long battle with an illness. He was best known as a classically trained actor who was both a professional and personable. His role in Lawrence of Arabia, a production that lasted an entire year, launched him at a premiere actor which would garner him eight Oscar nominations but no wins throughout his career. When he was offered an Honorary Oscar in 2003 he initially denied himself the honor wanting to win the award outright before eventually accepting.
He will be remembered as an actor bigger than the industry who's humble and witty nature made him stand out against a background of fellow actors.
