I've been on the fence about Lawless and waiting for something to blow my socks off, and ladies and gentlemen, I believe I have now found it. The first few trailers I have seen just lacked some "power." Watching this one, I felt the opposite and in many ways now think perhaps they were really restricted with the first trailers and had to make them acceptable for all audiences. However, now that they actually got to the good stuff, it is really good.
The film tells the story of a gang of bootleggers in the prohibition era and the authorities who try to stop them. The cast is truly unbelievable with Tom Hardy, Jessica Chastain, Gary Oldman, Guy Pearce and Shia Labeouf among others. They were smart to release this trailer because I have now gone over to the "when can I buy tickets?" side. The film will be released on August 29th, so the wait won't be long.

when in doubt show boobs. This could be good but I don't know why but I'm getting a Public Enemies, which looked good and than just kinda got lost.
I try really hard to like Shia as an actor, maybe this will do it for me.
This looks awesome except for Shia LaBeouf.
Tom Hardy = me in
Am I the only person that likes Shia LaBeouf? Maybe Even Stevens nostalgia is clouding my judgement?

Shia's not bad necessarily, but I think it's kind of a situation where the fact that he's a giant douche seems to sadly become ingrained with how many people percieve his acting.
That's the case for me anyhow and while I'll admit he's not a terrible actor, I do find it hard to ge excited about seeing him in much and can't help but think there would be many a better actor that I'd prefer to see.
This film does look great to me apart from Shia, as mentioned for the reason above, so here's to hoping it delivers. Most excited for Guy Pearce, looked near unrecognisable and the dude needs to do way more films.
I think Shia LaBeouf is a good actor, but he's nowhere near the level of Tom Hardy. That guy was awesome as Bane.
Just seeing them both together in a movie excites me. I'm hoping it will be good.
I think this might be the film that makes Shia LeBeouf into a likeable actor. I've always hated him in the Transformers films and Indiana Jones 4, but here he looks pretty good. That and the rest of the cast looks great too, especially the smarmy Guy Pearce. This film looks more and more cool every time I see the trailer for it.
They missed a golden opportunity not casting Lucy Lawless.
