Red Band Trailer: Sinister

I'll think of a good headline to put here after my fingers stop shaking with fear after watching this trailer

Wow, it's been a long time since I have been this creeped out by a horror trailer. I know I am a bit weak in the knees when it comes to this stuff, but it usually takes a full length feature to make my spine tingle. This trailer is superbly edited with the music hitting at all the right moments, so I can only hope that retain that energy in the film. Ethan Hawke stars in the psychological thriller that has already put me in a haunting mood.

Huh, this could be really good. We haven't had a decent psychological horror film in sometime. I thought it was interesting the trailer was cut with no lines of dialogue. To me, I didn't see a whole lot that screamed "red band trailer".

Looks scary enough for me to never see it ever. A success I guess?

@rem25: I think the only thing that made it red band was that one of the review quotes had the word "fuck" in it.

The movie looks decent, the director's track record isn't great though.

@Vincemaster: Oh, yeah you're right, I didn't even think about that. Well, still a dumb "red band" trailer regardless. Hopefully the film has a better effect.

This looks promising enough to watch with a glass of whiskey in my bedroom with the door closed and my lights off. It looks really good.

Dunno bud, There was a whole lot of killing and death in the trailer for it to be anything but red band trailer. Looks good though. I'm very interested on seeing more.

I dont know, the scene with people duck tapped to pool chairs getting dragged into a pool was pretty fucked up. As was the final scene. That kind of stuff doesn't really fly in normal commercials.

The director's track record isn't great when it comes to doing a low budget Hellraiser flick and a remake that never needed to happen with Keanu Reeves in it. Come on now. Call it like it is. Exorcism of Emily Rose was a well-made movie.

Nonetheless, I'm thoroughly fucking stoked about this flick. It looks like there will be some genuine tension and chills rather than a bunch of jump scares.
