We got a glimpse in to this movie with the poster last week, and now here is the red band trailer, and holy shit does it look terrifying. We still don't know that much more about the story, but we do know that there is some POV found footage, a girl with some pretty sharp teeth (that could be a vampire?), a little ghost child, a lot of blood and a lot of screams...a LOT.
With segments directed by Adam Wingard, Simon Barrett, Ti West, David Bruckner, Joe Swanberg and Glenn McQuaid, it will be interesting to see how they each make this work and how they put it together. If I wasn't a total wuss when it comes to the horror genre and completely afraid I will have to hide my eyes only 10 minutes in, I would be really psyched about this movie.

Looks awesome!
That did look pants-shittingly scary. That's probably why I won't watch it, for fear of having to buy a bulk load of new underpants XD
This looks good. Will have the chance of scaring me, but I'd still see it.
Using VHS tapes is really good way to get around the cheapness of found footage films. That said nope that looks scary I'll pass.
I think Rorie just shat himself. As did I... I'll be right back...
God, what the fuck is wrong with this face??
This looks terrifying.
looks cool, but I gotta wonder: Why are the guys breaking in recording themselves? Why would you make documented evidence that shows you committing a crime?
I'll definitely be seeing this, but I'm hoping it doesn't rely too heavily on jump scares. Going by the trailer it might be pretty good
Damn... I really didn't get any scary vibes at all from this movie. It looks like a student film at times based on the acting, even worse than your typical b-movie. I'll hold out judgment though, the coolest parts of the trailer were the more subtle things, like the window in that door getting smaller.
I'm still not seeing anything incredible here. The reviews coming from festivals have been great for the movie, but everything I've seen from both this trailer and the non-redband trailers has been "this is a low budget movie with bad acting and shaky cameras".
Moreover, it's from Magnet, a company that will...for better or worse...throw anything indie at the film and see if it will stick. While I enjoyed Rubber on a purely "are they telling me I'm a shitty person or not" level, it was still pretty much a bad movie with a unique premise. I just haven't been impressed with most of the stuff they've released.
I'm hoping for the best with this film, but as someone who has not found a single found footage movie that was able to garner a "scared" reaction from me, I'm expecting this will play well with folks that liked the Paranormal Activity flicks and wanted more gore.

Yup. Even with amateur sound, lighting, even camera setups, as long as the acting is passable, a movie can work. This seems like some interesting technical things being overshadowed by some horrible acting. This trailer was better than the first in that regard, but I think that's simply because there is less actual acting in it.
Anthology horror is my favorite genre so I REAAAALY want this to be great, but it's still gonna take a lot of convincing.
@ashogo: I could be wrong but it just looks like a mask (though distrubingly human looking) over the person's actual face.
that was legitimately scary.
Looks like I will be sticking to DVDs from now on.

That was one of the few hope spots...the rest was just...ugh...
@Popcorn: Rorie doesn't write for the site anymore :(
@ashogo: that is one hundred percent a mask. actually common in a lot of heist and horror films.
my question is, why would you film your robbery?
