Reminder: Oscar Livecast This Sunday!

Rorie and Alex hit the couch to talk you through the 83rd Annual Academy Awards.

Dopey, and Sleepy, and Grumpy, and Itchy, and Emma Stone, and Zardoz...
Ready for the Oscars? Ready for a bit of livestreaming fun with the Screened crew? Well, hopefully you’re ready for both, as two great tastes will taste great together this Sunday, as Alex, Joey, myself, and perhaps a special guest or two will be sitting on the trusty Whiskey Media couch and livecasting hours upon hours of Oscar coverage. Will it be The King’s Speech pulling down the most statues? The Social Network? A dark horse? Let’s find out...together.

We can’t telecast the actual Oscar ceremony, of course, but that’s why you guys have televisions! Join us this Sunday at 5 PM Pacific / 8 PM Eastern for plenty of snarky commentary on everyone’s outfits and continued shock at the failure of Vampires Suck to garner any nominations. The chatroom and stream will be open to everyone, and who knows; we might give away a prize or two during the runtime of the show.

We’ll see you guys for a night of Hollywood self-congratulatory excess, questionable fashion choices, and overlong speeches that wind up with the award winner getting cut off by the orchestra. Join us!

I'll be there!
Chadsteron Feb. 25, 2011 at 4:07 p.m.
As long as there's no, "WHO ARE YOU WEARING" or "I LOVED YOU IN MOVIE X WHICH I'VE NEVER ACTUALLY REALLY SEEN!" it will be better than literally all televised coverage of any award show.
FreylikeDaveon Feb. 25, 2011 at 4:13 p.m.
@Chadster: WHO are you wearing? Man, what awards shows were you watching?!

I'll be there... so long as I can get the live stream to work past the campus' firewall
TepidSharkon Feb. 25, 2011 at 4:41 p.m.

Dylabalooon Feb. 25, 2011 at 4:41 p.m.

Love to but the local cinema is actually showing it and it's free entry for members. Will it be downloadable after the fact?
LiquidSwordson Feb. 25, 2011 at 7:55 p.m.

JacDGon Feb. 26, 2011 at 8:56 a.m.
Damn, I really want to watch this, but it's on pretty late where I live (around midnight I think) and I have an important test in the morning, so probably not able to watch it all of it, if anything really, any chance it will be archived or posted later on, on the site?

When sushi becomes art as much as it is food, the art of presenting it on film becomes transformative not only to the cuisine, but the people who make it.
