Announced today by Marvel is news that shouldn't really shock anyone. Robert Downey Jr. will continue his role as Iron Man in the next two Avengers movies. He is the first major actor to solve his contract dispute with Marvel and Disney who have been trying desperately to keep the cost of Avengers from getting too high. It does bode well for the future talks since after Iron Man 3 made a gross amount of money Marvel had to realize that a big reason so many people see these films if due to Downey. No word on whether or not this will result in an Iron Man 4 movie or not but I wouldn't hold your breath. Marvel has said that in addition to this announcement they'll be making more including more casting updates, new characters (Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver), and more in the next few weeks.
