In the show, according to Live Feed, "a twentysomething man is told what to wear, what to eat, where to work and who to date in real time by users online." To pay for the production, Ford and Sprint will have embedded advertising throughout. The synergistic hero will drive a 2011 Ford Fiesta and only talk on a Sprint cell phone.
Says Green of ControlTV:
Producer Richard Saperstein reveals his sociopathic tendencies whilst selling the show:
"ControlTV places the audience in complete control of a show for the first time ever, and we are eager to learn what they will decide for our protagonist. We are thrilled to partner with DBG, Ford and Sprint on this groundbreaking new form of entertainment."
ControlTV premieres this fall on the DBG video network.
"This show combines the voyeuristic pleasure of reality TV with the experience of control we get from video games. Plus, it's all going to play out in real time. The concept takes interactivity to a whole new level, and we think it will be highly addictive."
