I know my life has become way too Sherlock obsessed when I am more excited to hear Benedict Cumberbatch's voice than I am that there is actually a teaser for the new Star Trek movie. I mean, he's just so menacing and quirky and sexy in his terrifying villainess. Sorry, I digress.
I assume most people will be excited to see Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto in the sequel to the 2009 J.J. Abrams reboot of the series, which looks pretty epic. So, yeah, you enjoy that and all. I'll be sitting here lamenting the fact that because he is doing these big awesome blockbuster movies, I have to wait until next year for more Sherlock...dammit.

The only reason I'm interested in this movie is Cumberbatch. Never been a Star Trek fan though I do enjoy Wraith of Kahn a lot.
That teaser teased me good.
I just can't get over that name, Benedict Cumberbatch, how awesome is that?
the music and zero-gravity fight scene seems familiar, don't you think ;)
After I saw Cumberbatch in Sherlock he became one of those guys like Fassbender that immediately got put on the top of my list. This looks great too, I'm glad they got him involved.

I remember chuckling at one of the reviewers say something along the lines of "Finally Sherlock Holmes is portrayed by somone who's name is crazier than Sherlock Holmes".
Guy is pretty great though and has my interested a lot more so in the new Trek film then I thinkg I otherwise would have been.
J.J. Abrams is such a visual filmmaker. This looks really good.
I'm psyched about it, and yes I am a Trekker, But who is the blond girl?
@the_referee: I'm going to go out on a limb and say that it's one of the crew member's daughter. You can see for yourself if you check out the last 15 seconds of the japanese teaser.
That looks so damn good.

Well whoever she is, it's clear she's in the movie to give Kirk a love interest.

She's blatantly THIS GIRL: http://i.imgur.com/G033d.jpg
Dr. Elizabeth Dehner, connected to Gary Mitchell, who it pretty much looks like Cumberbatch is playing.

OMG she's playing the girl from "where no man has gone before" I can't tell from the trailer but I hope that's not the core of the movie plot.
Benedict Cumberbatch doesn't look like a Gary.
They did the Gary Mitchell storyline in the IDW Star Trek comic series which I think is done in the same continuity as the new movies (I know Robert Orci is creative consultant on them) so I doubt its going to that. I would like to think Cumberbatch is Kahn (seeing him using that big ass gun like a club with ease hints at greater than average strength) but who knows.

Well, this film doesn't look like Star Trek.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!
Am I the only one who thought the guy's voice at the beginning was Patrick Stewart? Because I got really excited to think he would be in a Star Trek movie. Then I realized Abrams can't do that time travel shit twice in a row.
