I know this is just a teaser trailer, but I have to say, I would have liked to see more of the Lone Ranger, in you know, The Lone Ranger trailer. They are definitely setting up more of the landscape and scope of the film. However, for a move that is based so much on two strong characters, it felt a bit confusing.
I feel like this one could go either way at this point, and I'm curious to see where it goes.

Yep that's a teaser trailer. This movie could be good at the very least some decent not Michael Bay popcorn cinema.

I find it weird that the sidekick gets top billing over the title character, suppose it's expected with it being Johnny Depp.
It can't be any worse than Jonah Hex.
EDIT: It also makes me sad to know that Disney is behind this.
I like it, well atmosphere wise. Looks like a lot of practical stunts/action scenes, or just really convincing CG (it's ILM after all). But hearing the onset issues, budgetary problems, a tragic death that should of been avoided, troubles me too.
Disney is having a lot of trouble keeping these blockbusters in the green for them especially going to a genre that has been box office poison for years. Though the same could be for a movie about pirates and that worked out well for them.
Also, it was weird seeing the "Academy Award Winner Gore Verbinski." But yeah, Rango won, so he totally has that moniker from here on out.
