In general, I like Sofia Coppola's work. The Virgin Suicides was one of the first "art house" films I saw and made it really made me fall in love with the genre. Lost in Translation was undeniable awesome and while the last two were a little questionable, the woman has style in spades.
The Bling Ring is based on the true life story of a group or rich, privileged LA teenagers who are fame obsessed and track celebrity homes so they could break in and steal things. Side note: Paris Hilton was hit several times so maybe we should be thankful to them for that.
As for the movie, Emma Watson sheds her Harry Potter "good girl" image and becomes the bad girl that likes to shake her groove thing and steal. I'm not sure how I feel about the movie overall or really what audience it targets. With Watson involved, it makes me think they are trying to capture the younger crowd, but Coppola's movies are usually a little more edgy than that. The tone of it really reminds of a real life version of Skins. Which reminds me, when is Skins back?!

That Emma Watson dacing thing should be a gif now!
I've never been a huge Sofia Coppola fan, Lost in Translation is pretty great though. I'm not immediatly interested in this but maybe will be once disscussion of it comes out in conjuntion with stuff like Girls and that Spring Break movie.
@MrMazz: what about The Virgin Suicides?
This looks very similar to Spring Breakers but you know, this actually looks good.
The only reason I would see this, is because of Emma Watson. I am very happy to see she has been able to move on from playing Hermoine Granger. She was also fantastic in Perks of being a Wallflower.
Sofia Coppola and Emma Watson?
Yeah I'll watch that movie.
If it turns out to be awful I'll just have to find that out for myself.
@RockinKemosabe: I've actually been reading good buzz for early screenings of Spring Breakers. I'm a bit more optimistic for that film now than I was originally.
I think this movie could be good. It will definitely be interesting to see Watson outside of the Harry Potter series (haven't seen Perks of Being a Wallflower).
Looks good. Wait a minute... Emma Watson. Sofia Coppola. Rich asshole kids. Skins. Terrible music... I don't like any of those things. And what the hell is that tongue thing?
