The poster for Olympus Has Fallen has a powerful image and it definitely is good at showing the "theme" of the movie aka the White House is under attack. However, it all feels just a little too fake and surreal for me. The colors are so bright and the smoke coming out of the windows is clearly photoshopped. The trailer was also released this week and despite the fact that it looks like it should be a Die Hard movie, looks pretty good.
It's making me a little upset to see all the promo materials and trailers for Danny Boyle's new film Trance because I think they are rad and I very much want to see this movie. The problem being that it is being released in the UK in March, but does not yet have a US release date. I am hoping that they are strategically planning for it to blow up across the pond and then come out here. This poster feels reminiscent of the one for Hitchcock's Vertigo, especially with the coloring. It is a poster that makes you want to stare at it and that can never be a bad thing.
The story of two men who get laid off and then have to become interns at an internet start-up. They struggle through their days trying to adjust to the fact that their bosses are much younger than them. Welcome to the digital life. The film re-teams the Wedding Crashers duo of Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson and from the poster, it seems they feel that is really all they need to sell it. Also, I appreciate the nod to Google.
There is something about The Croods that just doesn't grab me. This poster didn't help to change that or do the movie any favors. It feels crowded and hard to look at and really why is that Saber Toothed Tiger so damned large? He takes up half the poster and unless he is the T-Rex of prehistoric animals, I just don't get it.
I think by no we have all seen countless promos, posters and marketing materials for Oz: The Great and Powerful, but this one caught my eye and not in a good way. Is that seriously supposed to be Mila Kunis?!! It looks nothing like her. She is photoshopped beyond recognition and all I can say is bad, digital artists…this is baaaad.

Hurray! We have all the wiki pages for the posters this time.
that OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN one seems way too fake.
i wonder if we'll get a trailer for THE INTERNSHIP in a couple of days.
Olympus Has Fallen poster: Blue sky, fire, red sparks. Its only missing Gerard Butler ominously standing with his back to the camera.
I don't know why but I expected Olympus Has Fallen to be subtler. Still It'll be a fin entry in the Die Hard genre. For once I'm actually a little interested in a Vince Vaughn movie. Trance continues to look like a bright Danny Boyle movie.
And I still don't care about OZ or Croods
I want to see the Oz movie! Although I rather have one based on the books or based on Wicked.
I thought the poster with kunis was for a carmen sandiego movie
