Thor Trailer: This Is Probably Going to Get Taken Down

Watch it while you can!

Friend to all Whiskey Media types sora_thekey just posted this over on Comic Vine. It is apparently the full five minute Thor video that was shown at the San Diego Comic-Con panel, and straight up, it's pretty goddamned epic.

This is also apparently fatly leaked out, and thus has about a 120% chance of getting pulled down in the relatively near future, SO WATCH WHILE YOU CAN!!!!

Update: New video link! Still working! For now!

Kenneth Branaugh does not seem a fit for Thor. But this is a pretty sick trailer.

SO WE'LL SEE

I disagree. I think he has as good a chance at pulling off the high drama of Asgard as anyone I could think of. And that will be the hardest part to do well.

I loved the "Is that one of Stark's?" bit.

Looks way better than I ever imagined. Seems like a pretty complicated story for a Summer comic book action film. I do love that someone is willing to throw a huge budget at a character who isn't exactly bankable. Branaugh is good, and Hemsworth looks the part. Also, SHIELD Agent Coulson is always great.

Very nice.
CashBaileyon July 28, 2010 at 11:10 p.m.
The only reason I am even slightly interested in this is because of Kenneth Branagh's involvement.

@Lies: He's the director. Looks pretty awesome.

Only problem I had with this whole thing is that Thor uses contractions!

Ugh, I really hate how trailers give away WAY too much of the movie's story. I feel like I just watched the abridged version of the first hour of this movie already.

FUCK YES
Ferroson July 28, 2010 at 11:15 p.m.
Wow, much more impressive than I was expecting. It's just a trailer so I'm still wary but does an Australian soapie actor have the chops to pull off Thor, seems the answer may be yes.

That's pretty wicked!

Wow, this movie looks a lot deeper than i thought it would be.
JakeRocon July 28, 2010 at 11:27 p.m.
What in the HELL is that robot at the end?
Megalonon July 28, 2010 at 11:28 p.m.
Alright, that pretty much made my day.

Good.

Dig Deeper into Thor

Thor, the self-absorbed and reckless Norse god of thunder, is cast out of the paradise of Asgaard and banished to the world of mortals. Stripped of his power and honor, he must redeem himself if he is to prevent an insidious plot that threatens not just Earth, but Asgaard itself.
