Trying to keep up with the hype for both The Avengers (which I'm guessing you heard came out today) and The Dark Knight Rises (which also released another trailer this week), is not easy. So now we are getting more superhero goodness with another look in to the new The Amazing Spider-Man reboot by Marc Webb. This trailer focuses more on the action and less on the "origin story, giving us more of a look at The Lizard (Rhys Ifans). This version looks much darker and the action sequences look pretty bad-ass. The cast is phenomenal with Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, Sally Field, Denis Leary (that's a lot of amazing names), but there is still a sense of me that wonders if it looks different enough from the first Spider-Man with Tobey Maguire to make the audience not just want to watch that.

Really excited for this because honestly, as much as I enjoyed the Raimi films, they just didn't quite do Spiderman justice.
That may have been down to the cast more then the director, but I really think this will deliver!
Oh, how I miss the semi-inappropriate Emma Stone comments of one Matt Rorie. Sorry, the movie looks promising.
I must admit, I've not been all that excited about this new Spidey film so far, but that trailer looks pretty damn good. It's nice to see The Lizard in this one, feels like a good choice.
That bit about the knife really sold Andrew Garfield to me. I was already digging the casting before but it looks like they get the right amount of humor from him. I never liked Tobeys Peter Parker seemed a bit to serious.
The whole i'm most haunted by WTF happened to my parents isn't gelling with me. This is Spider-Man EVERYONE knows the gist of his origin and bringing his parents into it dosen't seem right.
Looks pretty sweet, was unsure before but now I'm excited.
Needs more Emma Stone.
i dont have high expectations for this
Welllp, I'm going to have to see it by default, but so far so good.
I feel like I'm not just speaking for myself when I say, "I don't give a shit about Peter Parker's parents". This movie looks good, but it's gonna have to be extra great to sell me on a story based around characters that seem totally extraneous.
That looks too fucking hot.
@gangly: If the rumor that movie is going to be 1 hour 30 minutes long is true, we're most likely going to get a really good film or a really bad one.
at least the lizard looks better than the the green goblin

From what I've gathered from trailers and interviews, It seems like he gives a big shit about his parents. Hopefully its handled well.
@Dylabaloo: yea, it could still go either way
looks cool.
Doesn't look very good.
