Hey everyone, do you know what today is? That's right, it's the beginning of Community premiere week. On (this) Thursday, February 7th our friends from Greendale Community College finally return to NBC after a long long wait. Who knew that October 19th would take so long to get here?!
In this "epic" trailer for the new season, we get a glimpse into what the show has in store for us and it is big and bold, and well, yeah, funny. That's always a good sign for a comedy. I love the style of this trailer turning it into a film trailer. Oh, and how about the always self-reflexive Abed who notes "I figured it's time I showed some growth. It's been three and a half seasons." Love him.
This will be an interesting season for the show, after the much publicized departure of creator end EP Dan Harmon. While it might grown, will it retain the same humor that so many love while also reaching a broader audience. If it doesn't work this time, I think NBC will have no choice but to put it out to pasteur.
So.....this is the make or break moment, let's do it guys. Let's pull this show out of television limbo and make it a hit. Who's with me?!! Get everyone to watch!

It's a pretty bad sign that Megan Ganz left the show, I understood she had been kind of like Dan's number 2. She was still writing when they did the upcoming 4th season, but if there was ever a potential season 5 (there won't be), I can't imagine it being all that good with both Dan and Megan gone.
Congratulations to Megan Ganz for her much more stable job writing for Modern Family now though.
I want to belive this will continue to be good....since it's the only comedy other than Archer and The League that I watch.
But with all the stuff that's happened and the current "Broad" approach to NBC comedy it's hard to hope. Still nice reflexive trailer, they even got the sterotypical epic music
THURSDAY.
Probably going to be the last season, with all this backstage rumbling and Chevy Chase leaving, so this season is probably going to feel somewhat bittersweet.
Hope they can pull out all the stops and go out with a bang!
The only hope Community has of lasting another season is if NBC wants a little more familiarity on the Thursday night schedule. Keep in mind this is a year that 30 Rock and the Office, two mainstays, end their respective runs. Who knows how that Dwight spinoff will go.
I'm just going to say it: Fuck you, Chevy Chase. You are less relevant today than your self importance would seem to indicate. It is NOT still 1983 and National Lampoon's Vacation did NOT just come out. Dan Harmon made you relevant again, you did not make Dan Harmon relevant. Enjoy your return to relative obscurity, because your ego fucked it all up for you.
