When you hear Joel and Ethan Coen, I think we all know it will mean something mildly quirky and strange. The screenplay, they have written for Gambit, seems to be no exception. The film is a remake of a 1966 film that starred Shirley MacLaine and Michael Caine. In the movie, Alan Rickman likes to show off his naked body and can anyone get mad at that?! The one thing I have some hesitation about...Cameron Diaz's southern accent. Is that supposed to be real? I certainly hope not, because it sounds very very fake. However, I can only hope it somehow is supposed to be like that for the film.
I'm undecided on this one. Love Colin Firth and the Coens. So....worth a shot?

So this isn't the side story that tells us the origin of everyone's favourite Cajun X-Man. Shame.
It reminds a lot of the Coen's Intolerable Cruelty.
As someone who was born in and lives in rural Texas, I can assure you that Cameron Diaz's accent is almost spot-on. Actually, she needs to slur it quite a bit more. You can't understand anything people say around here at all.
You had me at naked Alan Rickman
