The trailer for Iron Man 3 has been released, and it is a dark day for Tony Stark. In fact, it kind of looks like nothing can go right for the superhero, as he under attack from a source that has yet to be fully revealed (and his own suits or someone in them?), which looks to provide some harrowing moments.
It's hard to tell where the story is going, but there will be a lot of explosions and it seems to set up the threequel as being a very dark entry in the franchise. From what I can tell, I like it. Thoughts?

OK Sir Ben Kingsley saying turrrist was pretty funny. Not quiet sure I like how everyone seems to be doing the growl the ends of words things now.
I think the suit attacking Pepper has something to do with Tony controling it with his mind since this is supposed to be based on the Extremis storyline. Early guess that Guy Pierce is Ezekiel Stane, son of Obadiah Stane.
It looks good be interesting to see how people react to a less funny jovial Iron Man movie. I do like they are mentioning the Avengers, and how boring everything must be after you go through something like that.
Fuck Yes!
Hm... I'm not sure.
It actually seems like he'll be in danger finally.
Hello Marvel/Disney, I'm in!
Gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme...!!!
Also, I agree with
I have yet to see the sequel, but I generally don't hear great things; it just seemed to have too much going for it. That said, this looks refreshing, finally giving Tony Stark a "Fall From Grace" story (And while seemingly not on alcoholism, it does look like he's losing grasp on the stability of his life). Good to see Sir Ben Kingsley, but not yet sure how I feel on him portraying Mandarin, who was originally intended for the first movie. Personally, I would have gone with Chow Yun-Fat.
On a related note, they've been doing filming of this in my hometown of Wilmington, NC, but long after I moved away. According to my Dad, RDJ frequently stopped at some local cafes...until he twisted his ankle, or whatever happened.
It looks fantastic so far. I love the extended universe thing they are doing; it's just cool to hear Tony mention the Avengers.
I'm looking forward to it. I hope they don't make the tone of the movie entirely "dark and dreary", because a good part of the charm of the first two Iron Man movies was Tony Stark being a rapscallion

i agree. The MCU needs more peril and a darker tone.
Cinemablend has an interesting article showing a zoomed in screenshot from the trailer on a rather surprising neck tattoo on the Mandarin.
Whoa! That looks intense.
