Ah, precocious kids: will they ever not have movies made about them? Jesus Henry Christ ups the ante by having not one, but two self-proclaimed "freaks" in it, as it tells the story of a boy genius in search of the sperm donor who is his biological father. Toni Collette and Michael Sheen are at least generally enjoyable in their projects, and the film looks like it might have a degree of indie dramedy credence to it, even if it is from the writer/director of the long-delayed flop Fireflies In The Garden. I'm guessing that after a long period of awkwardness and misunderstandings, and perhaps even a genuine crisis near the end of the film, an attitude of bonhomie or perhaps even love might develop between the members of this decidedly non-nuclear family unit.
Just a guess.

Micheal Sheen is in this?
Im in!
I'll admit, I snorted at the title. Seems a little too precious for my tastes, though. I think you summed it up perfectly at the end of this article. haha
I'm fine with these movies about how great kids are, but I think they need to be balanced out with movies where kids are killed.
I really like Michael Sheen but the tone of this movie is really off-putting. I knew I had seen this kid actor somewhere before and it was in the first season of Being Human (US). I'm sure would be happy to know that the kid dies not only once, but twice (in the same episode no less).
I am all for happy movies, but damn it that was to much. Where is the conflict? And why is this kid so damn perfect?
If you change the future, you change the past.
wait
Obvious rhetoric, but I still feel like it's necessary to say...
NOPE.
That was the movie. Meh.
Well Michael Sheen interests me but stupid savant kids who are rejected by their peers is kinda meh. I don't get the title is he supposed to be some sorta Christ figure?
I hate, HATE, movies with precocious children in them.
I like regular children.
Ughh.......................
oh man... with that title, and when he started debunking santa and easter bunny.... totally thought this would be the new age atheist film i have been waiting for, where everyone learns from a young boy to find peace in their own hearts.
guess not.
I swear, I thought that was Simon Pegg under that beard.
Also, does anyone else have a problem with full screening YouTube videos where it's just a mess of colors and then you have to exit the full screen and re-open it for the video to show correctly?
Most movie directors aim to shock or surprise or at least create some controversy to make their movie projects stick. Probably aiming for an award or something with a title like that!
Indie movie is indie.
Michael Sheen is great, not sure if I'm that pushed about seeing it though - at least, not in the cinema. The choice of title seems a little odd? I thought it was going to be entirely different, but the tone seemed be fairly conventional.
So indie. By the way, that kid looks like Casey Hudson, that dude from Bioware.
Who the hell is going to watch that shit? Definitely one of the worst movie trailers I have seen in a while, at least I know now I don't want to see a movie that might have otherwise tricked me in with its title.
I love me some michael sheen
