Trailer: Looper

It's finally here!

Firstly, let me just say, I'm psyched. I've even been waiting patiently in anticipation for the genius that I knew would be this trailer. I know, I'm weird - and proud of it - normal people are boring.

Anyway, that said, I'm sitting here debating with myself (again a total crazy person) on the plausibility of this premise. Man is hired to kill people who are sent back in time to him from the future (that I'm cool with). All is running smoothly until he's assigned to kill his future self... watch this part of the trailer. I don't know if I'd be able to recognize my old-self in a matter of seconds like he does above. Not to mention how much Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis look nothing alike. I guess they're trying to suspend our disbelief by giving Gordon-Levitt green contact lenses.

Oh well, otherwise I'm 100% on board. Thoughts?

The premise of this movie is pretty awesome, not to mention I like all the people who have been cast.

TheHTon April 13, 2012 at 12:29 p.m.

Let me guess, everyone under the hood is him from the future and he's just been killing his future self over and over. Still looks awesome!

God it is refreshing to see Bruce Willis in something that isn't complete and utter shit.

More of THIS please Hollywood. Movies that look good and interesting and have new concepts that aren't sequels or re-boots. Yes!

This a thousand times.

Okay, so this looks as wonderful as we all had hoped, but I have to admit I'm a tad disappointed.

Reading about this movie, and specifically, how JGL is portraying the younger Willis, I somehow thought that he was playing the actor... himself. Like Bruce Willis, Hollywood action star, gets wrapped up in some time-travel assassination thing.

But this seems good (if slightly less awesome) too.

LiquidSwordson April 13, 2012 at 1:29 p.m.

Jiggle looks creepy!

obscurefanon April 13, 2012 at 1:36 p.m.

I'm really glad I don't do drugs (anymore) because if I did I think this trailer might have literally made my head explode.

Entishon April 13, 2012 at 1:57 p.m.

someone's shaping up to be a great director.

LOL, get out of my head. I'm pretty exited to see this, but I'm trying to convince myself that it'll be mediocre.

B_Hearton April 13, 2012 at 5:28 p.m.

Look too over the top and the time travel stuff has been done before. Hoping it turns out better than the trailer. Still going to watch it

I'm pretty sure that is the whole premise of the movie, and also why it is called looper (he loops back only to get killed by himself). That's what I took from this trailer. Not a twist though. Twist would be that everyone that is sending him back into the past are all him from the future that managed to escape.

Sprinter24on April 13, 2012 at 9:02 p.m.

Did a remix of the trailer.

Hugh_Jazzon April 14, 2012 at 3:42 a.m.

I recognized JGL in the poster, but throughout the trailer I was waiting for him to show up. Looks not at all like himself, to my eyes.

the whole 'fast unveiling of dude' near the end of the trailer made it seem like a bigger twist, but you're probably right. and that would be pretty nuts, if the two of them keep going at it and the one that's sent back wins and sends the young (technically old) one back but then that one wins etc, etc.

OK I'm really excited for this movie now.

Sandoron April 14, 2012 at 1:49 p.m.

I thought this was fake until Bruc Willis popped up, Jiggle looks weird in this trailer.

DJJoeJoeon April 14, 2012 at 5:38 p.m.

I think both actors look similar, especially since movies can make people look similar pretty easily.

Dig Deeper into Looper

A futuristic hitman (Gordon-Levitt) recognizes one of his targets as his future self (Willis) and hesitates, letting the mark escape.
