This film is what a good friend of mine would call a botox movie... while watching it, you contort your face so much that by the end of if you have to inject poison into your forehead to rectify the damage. The guys from Nip/Tuck sprang to mind from just watching the trailer. You may want to avert your eyes before having to undergo elective facial reconstruction.

When I first heard about this movie I was perplexed and disinterested. Really is Channing Tatums life going to be that interesting? Now I am cautiously optimistic and heck it could make for a interesting theater experience.
It seems like this site is finally getting back on its feet. Five articles in one day!
my only problem with this movie is that Olivia Munn still has a career.

Yeah, 21 Jump Street made me kind of like Channing Tatum. I always hated the guy before then.
i love how Channing Tatum's career has come full circle, now he just plays a male dancer on film
Describing this movie as surprising would be quite the understatement.
I thought this could possibly be an interesting movie, until I heard the Rihanna track.
What?! Directed by Soderbergh?? What?? So confused...
I really have no idea how to respond to this movie's existence. It looks like it could either be terrible or surprisingly amazing.
Yeah, okay.
If Soderbergh directs it, I will see it. And in his utilizing-people's-real-lives-in-roles subgenre, this looks a damn sight more fun than The Girlfriend Experience.
Thing the trailer lacks: shirtless Matt Bomer. He's in the cast!
WHilst the display of toned man flesh is harmful to my eyes (and depressing to my own less than toned physique) this does not look too bad. Channing Tatum is one of the guys who despite being far better looking than me (not hard really) I don't hate. Alex Pettyfer though... is he going to be a prick like everything he's ever been in?
At first I thought this could be an ok concept for a movie... something taboo that doesn't generally get talked about. By about 30 seconds in, I felt like I was watching a made-for-TV hallmark movie (although one they probably wouldn't make, ha). Acting looks abysmal.
Doesn't look as bad as expected.
Could be interesting.
@Dallas_Raines:
I agree. 21 Jump Street was a hilarious movie, and both Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill were great together. I am a guy, and personally, Male stripping creeps the hell out of me. But, that was a surprisingly good trailer, and the real highlight was seeing Matthew McConnaughey ( I hope I spelled that right). Because of that, I might be tempted to see this.
No way I'd go see it but at least Tatum's acting doesn't seem as wooden as it's been in past.
Does this movie seem like the 1981 Film For Ladies only??? or is it just me?
