If I could think of two actors I would want to be President of the United States in real life, not just fictional, it would be Aaron Eckhart and Morgan Freeman. In this "White House is under attack movie", you will get both. After being released from duty in the Secret Service, Gerard Butler plays the guy that will (likely) save the day. It looks like big budget fun, but also being from Antoine Fuqua, there might be some good drama in there.
In the land of originality in Hollywood, there are two "White House Under Attack" films being released this year. The other is Roland Emmerich's White House Down, and I'll wait for a trailer to make a judgement, but just don't know if I buy Jamie Foxx as the President of the US. Oh, and I still have trouble seeing Channing Tatum and not thinking he is about to pull his tear-away pants off as in Magic Mike.

Man this would make a really good Die Hard movie. This looks like it could be a fun lil action romp in the middle of March. At least Geard Butler is back to kicking ass and taking names, and not crappy rom-coms with Katherine Heigl. It feels like it has been forever since I've seen Aaron Eckhart in anything.
Man this is basically season seven of 24, but a movie.
Seem like it could be awesome, but what the fuck was going on with the CG? It's like they were running out of money while they were making the trailer, and the CG was getting worse and worse. Just look at the smoke coming out of the windows at 2:15. It looked like a college students project!
EDIT: I came back just to point out that the music in this trailer is actually pretty good, and stays away from the now cliche Inception noise. I think it's important to take notice of this sort of thing.

lol you're right that smoke looks so fake.
the movie pushed its release date up to March to compete with WHITE HOUSE DOWN. My guess is that they will already be hard-pressed to meet the deadline with all the visuals, and there was no way they could have it all done by the time the trailer was released. It will likely look better in the movie.
Definitely should have just been a die hard movie, like John McClane is going on a tour of the white house and terrorists just happen to attack. "wrong guy, at wrong place at the wrong time"
