Imagine the pitch: Badass Teddy Bear trash talks with Marky Mark. Brilliant. Sold. Green-light this baby.
The movie is really just a typical guy meets (really hot Mila Kunis) girl story and struggles with having to "grow up," but Seth MacFarlane's bear character of Ted has the possibility of going down as the next great half of a comedy duo.
My only worry from the trailer is that we might end up with more of the canned-dumbed-down humor that has been popping up more and more in the last season or so on Family Guy. Maybe it's just lost its charm, but I miss the days of having to take a few seconds to process a joke told by MacFarlane before bursting into laughter. I'm of course all for a children's toy that's getting high and hitting on chicks, but let's just hope it doesn't get stale when it moves from a three minute preview to a two hour movie.
Now, repeat after me Teddy Bear..."Say hello to ya mudda for me..."

Just from reading the idea... is it like... filthy Teddy Ruxpin?
seth is essentially a mediocre stand up that writes cartoons. I don't hate any of his shows, he has some good gags.
I mean I'll see it, I'll laugh, I'll leave the theater (my living room) fulfilled, but depending on how funny it actually is, I'll get annoyed when everyone says it's brilliant if it's not... and we all know that's going to happen regardless.
Looks like a rip-off of Wilfred to me. :(
This seems alright.
The white trash names part was amazing. Totally watching this.

The 'white trash names' bit was excellent, I'll give it that.
I lost interest as soon as it said Seth MacFarlane was behind this.

She looks like the scrawny girl from That 70s Show to me.
Mark Wahlberg was surprisingly funny in The Other Guys, and Mila Kunis is always likeable. I think I'll give this a chance.
As someone who detests Family Guy, American Dad, etc., I actually laughed a few times during the trailer. This could be really funny but like others have said, I hope they haven't used up the best jokes for this red band trailer. I might still check this out depending how the reviews are when it comes out.

I really need to finish watching the Australian series someday...
As for the trailer, it definitely has potential. I'll be interested to see if they can successfully mix the R rated comedy with a decent story and fleshed out characters. I'm wishing for way too much aren't I?
I found that trailer really funny and im usually a misreable bastard
I'm not big on comedies but this movie looks fuckin' great. :D

That's because it is.
I really wanted to like this. After watching it, I feel like my IQ went down about 50 points. Who the hell greenlighted this!?
I like Marky Mark in more comedic roles. The Big Hit was one of my favourite movies in highschool. He would be my main reason for checking this out. I'm a little worn out on Seth Macfarlane.
Okay - I know I shouldn't like this... but I laughed! Bring it on Ted!
