Trailer: The Frozen Ground

Nicolas Cage and Dean Norris team up to find John Cusack, the serial killer. Oh, and Vanessa Hudgens is all grown up.

Anyone who wasn't sure if Vanessa Hudgens would be able to "break out" of being typecast as the innocent girl she was in High School Musical just needs to watch this trailer. In this trailer she is a young stripper (with some sort of accent) who doesn't know that she is most likely being hunted by a serial killer.

John Cusack plays said killer and he looks creepy and terrifying, and it will be nice to see him in a weighty role. Then we have Nicolas Cage and Dean Norris on his tracks, and well, that is about it. It looks a little like pretty standard fare for a serial killer movie and I'm not sure if there is anything about it screaming "go see this now" about it, but hey, it's got Nic Cage and Hank in it.

EDIT: I'm not sure if the trailer leaked early or if Vanessa Hudgins was just to, well, "un-clothed", but almost all have been taken down. However, if you really want to get around it, here is a link to one that is still working: The Frozen Ground Trailer

They have takend a lot of them down, so sorry for the ads on the current one, but I'll keep my eye on it checking for a better version.

That was an oddly cut trailer. Like they had planned for two but than just cut them together. You have the creepy cerbral first half with "All Along the Watchtower" and than the wana be thriller music second half that is just a bunch of pieces cut together. Which makes the movie seem really weird and cheap as a whole.

John Cussack being all creepy might be interesting and yea Nic Cage is in it.

Reminds me of a story on I.D. where this veteran with a wife and kids who every body said was the nicest guy you'd know, was going around killing over a dozen prostitutes for many years.......hmmm nah, just a coincidence

This reminded me of the movie I Know Who Killed Me. Again former child actress turned stripper.

Maybe I'm a bad person, but I don't mind seeing Vanessa Hudgens writhing around on a strip club stage. She might as well flaunt what she's got while she's still young. I don't think her acting will get any better.
