World War Z has been wrought with a lot of problems. So much so that when I wondered if I was still in a sick coma and was hallucinating when I saw the release of a trailer. Here we get a first look at the movie based on the novel by Max Brooks. When I say based, I use that term loosely as it looks as if this is going to be a big departure from the narrative in the novel which features the character that Brad Pitt is playing as an U.N. worker interviewing survivors of the zombie apocalypse. Not having read the book, I don't have a completely strong opinion about the change other than the fact that story sounds much more interesting. This looks like a standard 'the world is ending, can we save it in time film?" , with not much of an outstanding story.
What are your thoughts? Do you disagree with me and are uber-psyched for WWZ?
