VIDEO: Bad Ass Digest - Planet of the Apes: Part One

Devin Faraci takes an in depth look at his Planet of the Apes - one of his favorite movies.

I'm scared to admit this in a public forum, but I have never seen Plant of the Apes. Any of them. It's one of those movies that I missed, and somehow never actually caught up on later in life. I'm lame. Lucky for me, Devin Faraci knows pretty much everything about it and makes this video for anybody who loves the film.

Cool film! Let's remake it without any of the deep thematic content, add CGI and get Marky Mark to play the Heston part and totally ruin the ending!!!

Oddly enough I received the Planet of the Apes box set for Christmas. I have been a huge fan of the Ape stories for decades. I love the fact about the Balance of oppression changing throughout the movies because that was always the core of it to me. I also loved how the entire story ties in together, with the others, in a time line, Did they plan that or was it just a lucky coincident? Either way I guarantee you the Ape stories will never end, more will come out of Hollywood.

Dig Deeper into Planet of the Apes

A remake of the Charlton Heston movie, this movie drops the nuclear overtones in favor of a straight action movie, and the creation of a new continuity. It also was still Earth the whole time.
