Last Sunday brought the first day of fall, so we can now officially reflect on movies of the summer. I felt like it was an interesting summer as there were varying opinions on some of the biggest tentpole films. Prometheus was one of the most controversial films I remember in recent times, with opinions ranging from amazing to awful. The movies I think everyone could agree upon was The Avengers, and if you haven't seen it, check out the DVD/Blu-Ray that came out yesterday.
Here we countdown the Best Summer Movies of 2012. Are there some you need to catch up on? Is your favorite on the list?

Definitely a few must sees in there I haven't gotten around to yet.
Okay, The Dark Knight Rises is leaps and bounds better than MIB3.
Yea the lack of Dark Knight Rises is a tad questionable. Was it as great as the Dark Knight? Nope. Still really damn good, seriously MIB3 really?
Who is Cinefix? This is kind of a shit list.
@Vincemaster: Stacey posted about the videos last week.
@PatVB: Blasphemous! How dare you have a different opinion than me!
@FinalDasa: Ah, duly noted, thanks. Still not a fan, though.
@Vincemaster: His worst movies of the summer list is a bit less controversial.
I still think the Dark Knight should be on here.

CINEFIX?
@NlGHTCRAWLER: Let me refer you this this thread. It should explain everything.
@Acura_Max: Thanks!
Why didn't they keep the original format for the vids?
Sorry, Cinefix. Dropping BOTH TDKR and Prometheus for Men in Black III is a pretty gross offense, IMO.
I haven't seen most of the independent films on that list, so I can't argue the rest, though. Brave and Avengers were both great films, and I could definitely see someone preferring them to TDKR and Prometheus, despite the flaws of all four of them.
Men In Black 3 WAS alright, and I'd probably say I enjoyed it more than TDKR and Prometheus.
But that's mainly an expectation thing.
@Acura_Max: Sort of, although he put Cosmopolis on there, which got 5 stars on the site. Kind of illustrates the disconnect between the site and the videos.
@Vincemaster: Well, Cosmopolis was a polarizing film and two different people can have two different reactions to the same movie.
@Acura_Max: True, and I haven't even seen it, but it just seems a little inconsistent to have the official Screened website give it 5 stars, while the video calls it one of the worst of the year. If I was a first time Screened visitor, I wouldn't know which one to believe.
