Oblivion finally opens here in the US after what felt like a quick ramp up of marketing materials especially commercials. I still have no clue what to think about this sci-fi flick but initial word from across the pond, where the movie is already out, isn't good. Maybe it will still do well since after the previous week I'm sure a few people wouldn't mind an hour or two of mindless entertainment.
Here is the first poster for the Thor sequel and it sure looks like nothing special. Not sure if they don't want to give anything away or if they just don't know how to make a good poster. I'm guessing it's the latter. Seriously you couldn't fit in Loki, or Odin, or really anything else into this poster?
I really enjoyed the first 300 as a stylized action film but I'm not sure how I feel about a non-Zack Snyder directed one. Sure he is still a producer and some could argue Snyder may not have "it" anymore, but those Snyder slow-mo shots helped make the movie. So maybe the new one will be worth the wait but it has been 6 years since the original, will anyone still care?
We'll finish this week out with a pair of Star Trek posters including my favorite of the week that shows the Enterprise crashing into Earth.
