The more I learn about The Monuments Men the more I think it's a comedy rather than a drama. I'd love to see actors like Clooney, Damon, Murray, and Goodman balance drama and comedy since I think all of them can do both really well. It's just a strange mix of actors and story that the tone doesn't become readily obvious.
Sex sells and reading the fine print on this poster leads me to believe it's a horror film? This poster would make me believe it's a documentary about strippers but when you include movies like Invasion of the Body Snatchers and Last House on the Left you have to assume it's scary.
Next up is this strange poster where Jude Law looks like he is trying really hard to be Riff Raff. Is this just a way for Law to get out his partying urges or are we peaking into the true soul of Jude Law. Or is this really just a movie about monkeys? I'd really rather see the monkey movie.
This week ends with possibly one of the best posters for The Grandmaster they could have put together. I don't like how heavily they're advertising this is about Ip Man, without actually saying Ip Man. The Ip Man movies weren't 100% accurate but at least they strives to tell the story somewhat based in reality. This one looks more leaning towards action, which isn't a bad thing, but I would hate to think some kid walks into this film and assumes it's all about the real Ip Man. As a kung fu movie however, this look exciting and I can't wait to see it.
