While I'm not holding out much hope for I, Frankenstein this poster is one that stands out. I would rather see a truer adaptation of the Frankenstein story rather than a vague fantasy action movie. But for some reason I still enjoy Aaron Eckhart. So maybe this will turn out to be something worth seeing.
I have no clue what After The Dark is. A post-apocalypse with teenagers just standing around? Maybe it's a field trip gone wrong? Who knows but this poster is pretty awful. Not only am I not sure what the real name of the movie is but I'm unsure what it's about even in the slightest. If you're making a lesser known film either fill me in on some points or make your poster really stand out. Pull me in!
While Need For Speed could just be a cash grab from video game fans this poster is a good start. Reminds me of older racing and car based films like Bullitt. Now we just have to hope the movie will come close to that promise.
Now compare this poster to the one earlier of the same thing. A group of random people watching some event in the distance. In the former you have just actors staring at generic explosions. In this one you have more of a mystery, more of something that will hopefully be enough for you to watch a trailer or check the movie out.
We end this week with a simple poster. Amazing Spider-Man already released three amazing posters, that went together and were quite busy in terms of design. Maybe this one is a bit too simple but a storm is coming for Spider-Man and the lightning is an homage to Electro.
