First this week we have Don't Go To The Reunion. I hadn't heard of this movie until spotting the movie poster. I love the old school feel of the poster, harking back to those old school movie posters of the 80's. One thing I don't like is the quote focusing on the class of 2004. That wasn't too long ago but I guess is closing in on its 10 year reunion. I guess it just makes me feel old.
Next we have the mostly typical poster to Elysium. With a strange name and director, who I bet most movie goers don't remember as the District 9 guy, I bet they went the route of having as much Matt Damon as possible.
Simple but awesome, now that's what I'm looking for in a poster. The giant wave of blood sets the film based on a naval battle pretty well and after that trailer I'm really looking forward to this film.
And lastly we have the poster for the next Hobbit film, The Desolation of Smaug. Resembling a book cover rather than a movie poster is a nice strategy that plays well for these films. I hope this sequel moves as a quicker pace than the first but I also can't wait to get back into the world of Middle Earth. Hopefully I little more Smaug means a more intense and action filled film.
