TOP PICK: Spoils Of Babylon (IFC, 10 p.m.) – The soap opera parody from the minds of Will Ferrel and Adam McKay starring a surprising amount of famous people. The trailer may not look like your thing but Ferrels intros should be.
O Brother, Where Art Thou? (IFC, 7:45 p.m.) – With Inside Llewyn Davis STILL not playing anywhere remotely close to me, I’ll have to go with that other Coen Brothers film featuring music from T. Bone Burnett and based on Homer’s The Odyssey.
Community (NBC, 8 p.m.) – Ass…Crack….Bandit
Parks And Recreation (NBC, 8:30 p.m.) – Parks and Rec made it to 100 episodes you guys! Will this boost the ratings at all? Likely not.
Bring Me The Head Of Alfredo Garcia (Starz Retroplex 9:40 p.m) – Sam Peckinpah’s pulpy fevered dream of a man looking for one thing and realizing he wants his soul more. Also how great is a name like Bring Me The Head of Alfredo Garcia
Manhunter (Sundance 9:00 p.m.) – One of Michael Mann’s first films, based on the novel Red Dragon. For me Manhunter isn’t as well put together as Silence of the Lambs (I do prefer it over Red Dragon directed by Brett Ratner) but is 80s as hell and that’s kinda great.
