Fire up your DVR because you may actually need it tonight to watch everything good on TV tonight. When was the last time you had to do that? Thursday's still feature a deluge of comedies but you get a sprinkling of drama in there to keep things fresh. Funny how it's mostly cable companies getting out there with summer series while the main networks just sit and lose viewers.
What To Watch
1. The Big Bang Theory
CBS 8pm: I've lost the thread of this show completely. At some point every show that goes on this long becomes about the characters going through their motions rather than interesting stories. Big Bang Theory is quickly getting into The Office territory, maybe it should have ended a season or so ago.
2. The Hero
TNT 8pm: I was wrong, this isn't exactly like The Mole which disappoints me. A group of people are sent on a variety of tasks and along the way are tempted to screw up their team for money. So it's Mole-like but has it's own flavor and strategy.
3. Burn Notice
USA 9pm: Michael is off to the Dominican Republic with Sam and Jesse to help with a trade. Does this show still feel fresh and worth seeing or has it come stale?
NBC 10pm: It looks like Will has committed a murder and is arrested. He plots for his escape and a grand plan to help prove his innocence. I'm really surprised this show is still cooking along through the summer but can't really complain about quality TV.
FX 10pm: Wilfred is back with season 3 starting tonight. This weird, strange, and funny show has found it's niche audience and has been holding on ever since. Any show that can pretend a man in a dog suit is a dog has to be some level of funny.
