This is usually my night out with some friends which is quite strange since my favorite show on TV, Community, is on tonight. Makes me wish DVR or internet viewing was given consideration when it came to ratings. I feel bad for not supporting something I really enjoy but also realize it isn't my fault that networks like NBC still try to live in a pre-internet time.
What To Watch
NBC 8pm: Last week's strange superhero origin episode was probably one of the shows best in my opinion. Balancing sentimentality for the characters with the comedy Community is known for hasn't always been their strong suit, but they found their stride last week. Tonight's is the season finale and includes the return of the darkest timeline.
|2. The Big Bang Theory|
CBS 9pm: This week a cancelled trip to Vegas turns into a game of Dungeons and Dragons. I wonder if the "nerds as outsiders" themes still hold up now that things like superheroes are much more mainstream. Do the nerds of Big Bang Theory still come off to people as adorable outsiders or horrible cliches of nerds?
CBS 10pm: The search for Holmes' nemesis continues. Has someone been keeping up with this show? Is it worth the watch as someone interested in the Holmes fiction more than the TV show itself?
NBC 10pm: I think I got one of my roommates, who has been a fan of the Hannibal films, interested in this show finally. Having someone else want to watch something often times encourages me to continue with a show I might put on the back burner normally.
