Marathon to Start:
| 1. Spaced Seasons 1-2 Avail on Netflix Instant A "surreal" comedy that is everything a "surreal" comedy should be. The story of two "underemployed" and recently dumped slackers (and their crazy friends & neighbors) who meet in a coffee shop and decide to pretend to be together so they can move in to a couples-only affordable apartment. Starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (among others), and created by Edgar Wright, it is a true gem that should be watched by anyone that loves and appreciates comedy. Sadly, it only lasted for two seasons and will be quick to run through at less than 30 minutes per episode. |

God, Spaced is a fantastic show.
Hey! I hope this doesn't sound nit-picky, but I have a suggestion...
I LOVE the Marathon to Start thing that you've been doing, but it feels kind of out of place in this feature. It seems to split the comments up in two, with some folks talking about the shows on tonight, and others talking about the series that you're featuring. All good stuff, but it's a bit weird to have 2 threads going on simultaneously.
So the suggestion is this: Why don't you make Marathon to Start its own feature?! You could go into greater detail about why folks should check out the series', and maybe even throw in a few clips to give us a taste of what the show is like. It's a strong enough idea to stand on its own, and it could spark its own great discussions. (and hey, 2 pieces of content is better than one!) ;)
Also, for you poor Netflixless folks out there, Spaced is available in its entirety on Hulu too! Check it out here.
And that's not optional. WATCH IT NOW!!!
What said make the marathon section into a weekly feature. It'll give more space to go into WHY we should watch it other than hey this is good to.

You know, it's definitely something to think about as I agree and could use some refining. It's funny that I started Marathon to Start to help fill in for the lackluster summer months, but it has become one of my favorite things to write. What to Watch might become a bit slim, but I just blame television for that. Updates to come :)
Ah, Spaced. It's like Big Bang Theory, only witty!

And for a show made in the late 90s, the jokes are still surprisingly relevant!
Definitely will give Spaced a look at.
Fuck the Kings and Fuck the Kings for making me cheer for NJ.
Spaced is my favourite TV show, I think. Anyone who hasn't watched it before definitely should, I implore it.
Though I can't wait to see the look on my mom's face when she finds out it stars Kevin Costner. My god does she despise that man.
Tiny Nitpick, Spaced was created & written by Simon Pegg & Jessica Walter, Edgar Wright just handled the direction side of things.

Because they were smart enough to not just be pop-culture junkies and make a bunch of references that would overly date the show (though that COULD be partially because I'm not in the British pop scene).
